~CHANCES AND CHOICES~
So I was banned from NDK's Artist Alley.
Why? Because:
1. I had artist at my table that were not registered with the leaders of Artist Alley. To be exact I had four artists, but I won't state names and those who were at my table only respond through Text so you don't get banned because of my mistake.
"Before the sign up for Artists Alley 2010 began, rules were put in place about adding members to your group that you did not initially apply with and only helpers could be added without getting permission. If they wanted to sell something, they had to be approved first or included when you signed up." -Yuki
2. I had merchandise at my table that was not mentioned in registration.
"When I checked both your application and the application of the second group, I learned you were selling products that you had not initially applied for to sell." -Yuki
3. I had an artist at my table that had already registered for Artist Alley Lottery and didn't get in and it is not allowed for Artist that have already apply who could not get in to sneak in. So, once you don't get through the lottery and don't get in, you are banned from Artist Alley till the next convention. Scary.
"At the end of the con, I found out that your entire group was made up of more than one group, including one that had applied and not gotten a lottery spot." -Yuki
That is why I am banned. Now I'm not making a big fuse, what is done is done. I did know that I had unregistered Artist and I thought I could help them get in. I didn't know they were that strict on all items being sold HAVE to be registered and I think that comes with still being a new-be at Artist Alley business, lesson learned. I think I know who the sneaking Artist was but that was a brain fart on my part. So this is not a complaint, this is just to inform those who want to know why and to let all artist alley know that you CAN be banned for things other than porn, language, and bad behavior.
For those of you who know me and want to know why and for those AWESOME customers of mine that are looking to see me at NDK next year, sorry. I will be at Wasabi and I'm trying to get into other conventions, even some out of state. If you have suggestions please tell me, I would like to know.
I might be going to Saboten-Con in Phoenix, AZ in 2011. Star fest is on my list and Mile-hi con.
So for warning to any artist that is going to NDK Artist Alley, Print off the rules for that place, Yuki is very strict and is not a push over. If you don't want to be banned like me and the other couple artists be respectful to her, her crew, and her rules!
Oh! And for the AWESOME customers. You can still ask for things from and I'll give you a great deal just for ordering. Crystal, if you even visit me on Deviant art, I will still continue to make badges for you and a cheap, cheap price to contact me through my business card or email.
